Laboratory Smart Electrical Automation Technology

       The Development Status of Laboratory Smart Electrical Automation


       Contemporary laboratory electrical automation is still in the development stage and can be roughly divided into:


       In the first stage, the laboratory's electrical automation system adopts a combination of mains power and indoor distribution box air switch power supply, without the concept of automation;


       In the second stage, the laboratory electrical automation system is equipped with equipotential system, UPS uninterruptible power supply system, indoor electrical leakage protection device system, etc. on the basis of the first stage, achieving preliminary electrical semi automation foundation;


       In the third stage, the laboratory electrical automation system adopts modern Internet of Things technology, PLC logic monitoring and management, infrared human body induction technology, and intelligent laboratory mutual generation platform to build an ecosystem for the laboratory electrical automation system. Through modern technology monitoring, management, and early warning of safety issues during laboratory operation, the safety and health of laboratory researchers are guaranteed, and the conversion rate of experimental research results is improved.


       At present, there are several problems in the operation and management of laboratory electrical automation, including: ① operational safety issues. In recent years, laboratory safety failures have occurred frequently, and electrical automation safety testing and response measures are not in place; ② The issue of stable operation is that experimental instruments are becoming increasingly valuable, and the temperature, humidity, and electrical voltage stability of the equipment's operating environment cannot be monitored and managed, making it difficult to effectively obtain real-time instrument status The issue of energy consumption during operation is that the laboratory's air conditioning equipment, ventilation equipment, and environmental temperature and humidity control cannot be automatically managed. Real time control and management are not possible for the presence or absence of personnel and experimental work, and the energy consumption problem cannot be visualized. The laboratory has been operating in a "closed eye" state.

 


       With the advancement of the strategic deployment of building a strong technological country, the public's awareness of laboratories is increasing. From the construction of key laboratories in China to the construction of teaching laboratories in scientific research universities, it is gradually promoting the development and progress of human society. Everyone's clothing, food, housing, and transportation cannot be separated from the innovation of laboratories and scientific research personnel. Laboratories are the cornerstone of ensuring our safe life and production. Therefore, electrical automation in laboratories is particularly important. Achieving electrical automation can ensure the effectiveness, safety, and authenticity of experimental results, as well as the health and safety of researchers. In addition to university teaching laboratories, there are also some independent confidentiality research laboratories belonging to enterprises and industries for the application of intelligent electrical automation in laboratories. Smart electrical automation is based on the development and research of network technology, so network configuration should consider the different requirements of internal and external networks. On the basis of network security management, experimental equipment systems can use wireless technology and 5G communication technology for hardware, software, data storage and transmission. Laboratory instrument data should be transmitted via intranet to ensure the security of laboratory information.
